Ainsley Newson is Professor of Bioethics at Sydney Health Ethics, the University of Sydney (Australia). Her research focuses on the normative and empirical ethical issues in genomics and human reproduction. In recent years, Ainsley has undertaken work on ethics and reproductive genetic carrier screening (also called expanded or universal carrier screening), the increasing use of genomics in prenatal testing, genomics in newborn screening and mitochondrial donation.
